Joni grew up in California but moved to Sydney in 2020 through a job opportunity and feels lucky to call Australia home. She’s worked or volunteered in tech the last 12 years in SaaS implementations or product management, and has always been passionate about companies/causes using tech to make a positive impact. She currently works for digital recruitment agency, tekFinder, and was hired in 2023 to head up a new pro bono recruiting initiative called tekFoundation. Since then she’s helped register the tekFoundation company, assembled a board and partnered with 17 different charitable organisations, matching them with skilled volunteers for various projects - everything from websites and SEO to branding and promotional videos. It’s been an exciting year of growth with plenty more to do! Her long term vision is to foster a more connected community of skilled experts lifting up the organisations around Australia that put purpose over profit.
