A Bit About Jessica...
Jess is a versatile television producer and storyteller, with extensive experience across documentary, current affairs, news and factual entertainment, in field and post-production. Her credits include ABC’s Catalyst, SBS’ Look Me in the Eye, The Last Leg with Adam Hills as well as producing Logie and AACTA Award-winning series for LEGO Masters, MasterChef, Gogglebox, The Living Room, The Project, Bondi Vet and Travel Guides. She started her production career in 2006 working for Channel 4 and The Guardian in the UK.
Jess enjoys telling engaging and meaningful stories. She is passionate about social impact and community connection, relishing the opportunity to explore these themes recently through producing new SBS Documentary 'The Big School Swap' about challenging race and religion stereotypes, multicultural assimilation and belonging in Australia. This further ignited the desire to work in an organisation that is making a difference in the lives of others. Hence the desire to learn through this course about working for foundations and good causes which are having greater social impact.
I bring a passion for connecting people, driving social impact and representing diverse voices in our community. Working on documentaries more recently has strengthened this desire to make a difference to the lives of others. My goal is that with the skills and knowledge I learn in the program, I can transition into philanthropy and fundraising, potentially working for a wonderful foundation with integrity.
