Fundraise for Australia Coming To Canberra with All-New Curriculum

Applications Now Open for Free Fundraising Training for Canberra Fundraisers

Canberra, ACT – Fundraise For Australia (F4A), a certified social enterprise dedicated to training and empowering new fundraisers for Australia’s social sector, is excited to announce that applications are now open for a new Canberra two-day training as part of its national fellowship program. This year’s program features an all-new, regionally focused curriculum designed to equip fundraisers with the skills and connections they need to drive real change in their communities.

As part of this initiative, F4A will host a two-day intensive training session at the UNSW Canberra City Campus on November 18 & 19. This hands-on training will provide aspiring fundraisers (and volunteers looking to upskill) with the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field, deepen their understanding of the Australian for-purpose sector, and develop the knowledge and tools they need to secure critical funding for local charities and causes.

F4A’s unique fellowship program was created to address the growing demand for skilled fundraisers across Australia, particularly in underserved communities and for entrenched social issues. As the federal government works to double philanthropic contributions by 2030, there is a tremendous need to build a robust infrastructure of frontline fundraisers who can sustain and grow our social sector.

F4A’s program is free of charge and aims to identify, recruit, train, and place new fundraisers in well-paying, meaningful roles within the not-for-profit sector. Participants for this course will receive two days of comprehensive training, with access to F4A’s exclusive textbook – the first of its kind to cover the unique fundraising strategies, vehicles, and regulations specific to the Australian social sector. This course is being made possible thanks to the ACT Government and Mill Street Ventures, through a generous social enterprise grant.

"We are thrilled to be expanding this program and bringing world-class fundraising education to local communities, especially in Canberra," said Ryan Ginard, Founder of Fundraise for Australia. "We know that effective fundraising is the key to unlocking more funds to tackle the most pressing social issues of our time. By training a new generation of fundraisers, we can help secure the essential resources needed for these critical causes."

Applications for this new cohort are now open. For more information about the program, to apply, or nominate someone for the course visit www.fundraiseforaustralia.com/apply
