Fundraise For Australia Opens Applications for Cohort II with All New Curriculum

Fundraise for Australia is a certified social enterprise which identifies, recruits, trains

and empowers new fundraisers to help secure resources for underserved communities

and entrenched social issues. We fund this free program by delivering fundraising

training and recruitment support for the border not-for-profit sector.

Fundraise For Australia (F4A) is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for Cohort 2 of its national fellowship program, underpinned by an all-new regionally focused curriculum geared towards providing new fundraisers with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to make an immediate impact in their chosen career field.

Applications are open now at www.fundraiseforaustralia.com and will close on September 10th.

With the federal government’s commitment to doubling philanthropic contributions by 2030, there is a tremendous opportunity to foster a new culture of generosity. Building the infrastructure to meet this goal is critical, and at the heart of this effort are frontline fundraisers—those who secure the essential funding needed to sustain and grow our social sector. Despite their importance, we continue to see demand for this skillset far outstrip our current talent pipelines, with many organisations seeing vacant roles go unfilled for months. F4A was established to change that and ensure the sector has the diverse and dynamic talent it needs to thrive.

Central to this effort is the Fundraise For Australia textbook, the first of its kind to comprehensively cover the unique fundraising vehicles, approaches, and regulations specific to the Australian for-purpose sector. This textbook serves as the foundation of the F4A curriculum, providing new and early-career fundraisers with the essential knowledge they need to hit the ground running. It is an invaluable resource that covers key principles, concepts, and techniques necessary to secure vital resources for the causes and communities they serve.

Designed to meet the needs of today’s Australian fundraisers, the textbook delves into compelling topics such as donor motivations in challenging times, the different types of funders and their giving behaviors, the rise of digital fundraising, and supporter activations. It also offers guidance on navigating a career in fundraising, with contributions from noted experts woven throughout its pages.

As Cohort 2 begins, F4A is poised to further its mission to identify, train, and recruit 1000 new fundraisers. Selected participants will receive over 35 hours of training and supported in securing a well-paying role as a frontline fundraiser in the social sector.

Don’t miss this chance to be part of a transformative journey. Apply now and help shape the future of philanthropy in Australia.
